Dr. Celina Hatt

The owner of Animal House Veterinary Center came to Hawaii with her  husband Alvaro in 2004, and joined then named Ewa Beach Animal Hospital as an associate Vet.  After a few short weeks, the previous owner asked her if she would like to purchase the hospital as they were looking to move back to the Mainland to be closer to family.

Dr. Hatt graduated from Washington State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001, and owed much of her practice management experience and client service education to her mentor Dr. Eric Anderson from Best Friends Veterinary Center in Whidbey Island, Washington.  Dr. Hatt worked with him from her graduation until the end of 2003.  She purchased Ewa Beach Animal Hospital on May 19th 2004.

Thanks to the support and advice of her husband, parents, and dear friends she has enjoyed seeing her dream become a reality.  Thanks to the support and trust of all our clients loyal and new, she has been able to reflect back on the beginnings of Animal House Veterinary Center with humble gratitude that she and her wonderful staff continue to contribute to our Ohana community.

When Dr. Hatt is not at the hospital, she assists the Hawaiian community non-profits on Oahu and the Big Island, providing spay/neuter services for feral cats and shelter dogs. Some of these active non-profit groups include Cat Friends, Joey's Feline Friends, Poi Dogs and Popoki, OSPCA, Hawaii Dog Foundation, Advocats and Catsnip.  Dr. Hatt ends each day with her 2 dogs, Lola and Ruby, and her cats Pablo and Cptn Jack.

Dr. Stacie Gallenstein

Dr. Stacie Gallenstein graduated from St. George’s University, Grenada in January, 2008 after completing her final clinical year at North Carolina State University. She then completed a one-year long rotating internship with an emphasis in referral and emergency/critical care at the Regional Institute for Veterinary Emergencies and Referrals in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Before attending veterinary school, Dr. Gallenstein enjoyed a career as a marine biologist and educator and is thrilled to be in Hawaii, back by the ocean where she spends most of her free time. She and her fiancé, who is a Captain in the Army, have four dogs, two yellow Labrador Retrievers, a German short-haired pointer, and a basset hound/healer mix.

Dr. Stephanie Dean

Dr. Dean graduated from the University of Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) Veterinary College in Scotland in July 2009. Previously, she completed a BSc degree in Biology from the University of Utrecht, in Holland, in 2005. After living in and travelling to exotic destinations around the world, Dr. Dean has returned to Hawaii to once again plant roots in the place she calls home.

A native of Kailua, on Oahu, and class of 2000 Punahou graduate, Dr. Dean is happy to be once again living in paradise. Outside of the clinic, you’ll find her in the ocean paddling canoes, surfing or swimming; or you’ll find her jogging, on the beach relaxing or spending time with friends and family.

On weekends, Dr. Dean continues to enjoy donating her time and expertise back to the island community that raised her by volunteering at feral cat spay/neuter clinics with participating organizations such as Cat Friends, Joey’s Feline Friends and the Oahu SPCA.
